12 Major Reasons Why God Sent Jesus To The World Part 2. By: Pastor Tunde Bakare.
Summary of previous message
The first six reasons covered in the message of 24/12/2023 were;
Jesus the Son of God came to the Earth to take away the sins of the whole World so that the sons of men can become the sons of God, John 1:29, John 1:11-13, John 3:16-18.
Jesus came so that those who walk in darkness can see great light. Isaiah 9:1-2.
Jesus came to the world to show us how to do the Will of God. John 4:34, Hebrews 10:5-10, John 3:25-26, Psalm 40:4-11.
Jesus came to show us the leadership style of the Kingdom of God. Matthew 20:1, Mark 10:37, Matthew 20: 20-28, Mark 10:35-45.
Jesus was sent to the Earth with a unique Destiny. Luke 2: 33-35, Luke 10: 17-20, John 12: 31-32.
The Prince of Peace came to the World to bring the sword of division, Matthew 10: 24-42, John 16:32-33.
Reason 7.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the Devil including his power of death, 1 John 3:7-8, Hebrews 2:14-15, 2 Timothy 1: 8-9, 2Corinthians 5:1-7, Revelation 1:18.
Reason 8.
Jesus came into the World for judgment
This is different from the Judgment Seat of Christ where all believers will appear.
It is the now judgment of Christ which is the judgment on religious church leaders who pretended to see when they are totally blind, Matthew 15:1-14, Matthew 23:1-7, 16-29, 24-26, Matthew 13: 10-17.
Prophet Isaiah called this group of blind watchmen, sleeping dump dogs who cannot bark, Isaiah 56: 9-12.
Example of such people includes the Servant of Elisha 2Kings 6:14-17.
Reason 9
Jesus came that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly, John 10:10.
The word ‘may’ in this verse of the Scripture is very critical.
Many people shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to prosperity and material blessing.
God wants us to have life and have it more abundantly but we don’t have the courage.
This lack of courage brings about anger against those who have it, and suspicion as to the source of their abundance/prosperity. Material mesmerism is often read into abundant life, but it is not, Luke 12:15.
There is more to abundant life than material blessing.
Part of the abundant life that we have is joy and peace in the midst of sorrow and storm. Abundant life is not trouble free.
Reason 10
He came to the World as a King.
Angel Gabriel spoke about this to Mary, Luke 1: 26-33. When Jesus was born the wise men from the East called Him King, Matthew 2: 1-6.
When He was crucified and before He gave up His Spirit Pilate wrote a title: *“Jesus the King of the Jews”* and put it on the Cross to the embarrassment of the Jews and their leaders, John 19: 19-22.
The title was written in Hebrew (the language of religion), in Greek (the language of commerce) and Latin (the language of power).
Is Jesus the King of the Jews or the King of Kings or the Lord of Lord’s?
God’s covenant with David in Psalm 89:1-4, 19-28 and 34-37 provides the answer.
There is nowhere on the planet where the sun and the sky are not seen.
The influence of this King (Jesus) is global. Jesus is not just the King of the Jews only – John 18:33-38.
The following truths must be established:
Jesus is not the king of the Jews, He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord’s.
He has made us Kings and Priests to our God, therefore He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, Revelation 19:11-16.
He is our Judge, lawgiver and King – Isaiah 33:22, Revelation 5: 8-10.
The interpretation of Daniel to Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel 2:36-45 confirms the extent of Jesus Kingdom, Revelation 11:15, 1:4-6, 5:8-10, 17:1-6,9-14 and 21:1-3,9-11,22-24.
Reason 11
He came to the World to be Governor of all Nations.
We may think when Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, *“Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?”* in Matthew 27:46 that God did not answer Him. God did.
David captured the response of God in Psalm 22:1, 16-21, 27-28. All families of the Nations will bow before Him.
Reason 12
God’s ultimate objective for sending Jesus to the World is to reconcile the Heaven and the Earth. Ephesians 1:3-10, Colossians 1:12-19.
The Heaven and the Earth belong to God, Genesis 1:1.
Unknown to many there was war in Heaven before the Earth witnessed war, Revelation 12:7.
Jesus began the process of reconciliation by teaching us the Lord’s prayer, Matthew 6: 9-13.
It takes the Prince of Peace to bring peace back to the Earth, Luke 2:13-14, Luke 19:37-38.
The only one that can restore Peace in Heaven and on Earth is Jesus Christ.
We have no choice than to pledge our loyalty to Him and not trade Him for gold or for silver.
