This is the second day of our new year gathering.
You do not have God’s permission to live with a limited mindset By Pastor Tunde Bakare.

Emphasis

Today’s message is about how to transition from step-down thinking to step-up thinking. Psalm 78:1-20,40-41; Proverbs 9:1-12.

2024 is our year of Unusual and Uncommon Elevation. But uncommon elevation this year is contingent on heeding God’s Word, not your skillset or qualification or education.

The danger of operating in step-down thinking is that those who do so will definitely tempt and limit the Holy One of Israel. Psalm 78:41; Proverbs 23:6-8.

Whenever you think about a subject, it forges a pathway in your mind that enables you to think about it later.

The more you entertain the same thought, the wider the pathway becomes. This is why you need to cast down every negative thought or imagination.

Three things to note:

1.Whatever you cultivate in your mind will dominate you.

Watch what you listen to and what you view because they will create desire-paths in your mind that will attract more of the same in the spirit to you.

The people you attract to yourself are products of your dominant thoughts.

This is why the rich attract the rich, and the poor attract the poor. Mark 4:24-25.

Angels and demons move at the speed of thought, which is the origin of words. Psalm 103:20

2.Your feelings are great servants, but they can also be terrible masters. Genesis 4:4-7; 1 John 3:11-15; 4:20-21.

3.You cannot change your life, but if you change your thoughts, Jesus will transform your life.

Sin begins as thoughts (Mark 7:14-23). But you can renew your mind (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:17-24).

John 6:63 shows how you can renew your mind. It is to saturate your mind with the Word.

TRANSITION FROM STEP-DOWN THINKING TO STEP-UP THINKING.

1.We are a New Creation, born-again into the Kingdom of God.* 2 Cor. 5:12-17.

The word ‘new’ in verse 17 means prototype – something new that has not been created.

If Jesus says the least in the Kingdom of God is greater than John the Baptist (Matthew 11:11), it means we are greater than all the Saints in the Old Testament, including Solomon and Daniel. 1 Kings 4:29-34; Daniel 1:17-21, 5:8-12.

But are we truly operating at a higher level of wisdom compared to the exploits of Solomon and Daniel? Matthew 5:13-16; Ephesians 2:8-18.

2.We are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. It means God who created everything lives in us. John 14:22-23.

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit indwell us.

3.We have the mind of Christ. It means we are God’s think-tank and we can reason with God.

4.In addition to the gift of the word of wisdom of the Spirit, we are endowed with the manifold wisdom of God.

This is the wisdom of Solomon on steroids. 1 Cor. 12:7-8; Ephesians 3:1-12.

5.We are seated with Christ in Heavenly Places.

This means we have a preview of what is to happen on the face of the Earth.
It also means you can possess the future in the present as you operate in step-up thinking.
