Preamble

History is about to repeat itself, Ecclesiastes 1:9-10, Ecclesiastes 1:4.

There is nothing new under the Sun but there is something new above the Sun.

He seats far above the Sun and the Moon; when He stretches out Eternity to time, what we think will happen will not happen and what we think will not happen will happen because He is the Game Changer.

The navigational system for the Earth that abides forever is the Word of God.

The Word of God has three fold nature. It lives, it abides and it endures.

Jezebel sent her word to Prophet Elijah, the prophet took to flight and went to Beersheba, 1 Kings 19:3-8.

It should be recalled that in Beersheba, Father Abraham planted a tamarisk tree and there called the name of Everlasting God.

From that day Heaven opens for anyone that steps into Beersheba.

Elijah got to Beersheba, an Angel was waiting there to minister to him.

The Angel gave him food to eat. It was in the strength of that food that he covered a journey which took Israel 40 years, in 40days and 40 nights.

Israelites thought when Elijah ran away – God had finished with him. On the contrary Elijah encountered God afresh and heavens opened over him.

Message Focus.

When you hear, Thus says the Lord, do not despise prophecy.

Woe betides him who says, Thus says the Lord when the Lord has not spoken.

The Word of God lives, Hebrew 4:12.

Referring to 1Peter 1:13, if your mind is not the mind of Christ it becomes the battle field for dangerous extraneous thoughts that will try to conflict with the Word of God.

The verse enjoins us to rest our hope fully upon the Grace that is to be brought to us at the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

The moment you receive the Revelation, Grace falls upon you.
Your hope can be on that Grace and you become the steadfast anchor of the Grace.

The more Revelation of God and Christ you have the more the Grace of God and Peace of God will be multiplied unto you, 2 Peter 1:1-4

An understanding of 1 Peter 1:20 is that you cannot change in time what has been pre-destined before time began no matter how you tried, because the Word of God lives, abides and endures forever.

History is lived forward and it is written in retrospect.

What is a headline in a season may  become just a footnote in another season.

People must know and understand the season they are in.

The Bible gives us a compelling reason why every Believer should have a sense of history.

With a clear understanding that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever implies that what He did before He can do again.

What He did for one man, He can do for all men, Mark 5: 25-34, Mark 6: 53-56.

The moment you hear what God had done you need to position yourself for Him to do it again.

Don’t reinvent the wheel, don’t lose focus, do not fear and stop reading headlines.

You have to recognize who Jesus is as the Word that is, abides and endures forever.

The reason why every Believer must have a sense of history is for them to have hope, Romans 15:4, Hebrew 13:7-8.

The Month of May In History.

This is to illustrate the truth that the Word of God lives, abides and endures forever.

In Ecclesiastical calendar, May is called Ziv, the second month of the year. In biblical history notable things happened in the second month (May) of the year namely:

Moses conducted the Census, Number1:1-4, 17-18.

The Census which David did got him into trouble. 70,000 died as a result of it.

The cause of the trouble was not that David just counted the people but that he counted on the people rather than counting on God.

When David repented God turned his blunder into a Faith  Adventure, 2 Samuel 24:10.

Don’t allow your past blunder to overwhelm and depress you.

God Almighty can turn your mistake into a miracle.

In 2 Samuel 24, it was the anger of the Lord aroused against Israel that caused the Lord to move David to do the Census.

On the same account of the Census in 1 Chronicles 21:1-4, it was Satan that moved David to number Israel.

Arising from above one wonders who actually moved David. The Lord or Satan?

It was a form of tug of war situation where one part of you is pulling you in one way and another part is pulling you in other direction.

The truth that needs to be known is that nothing happens to a child of God that is neither permitted nor directed by God.

Reading from 1Chronicles 21:15-25, it will be observed that the Faith Adventure of David began in verse 18.

It is pertinent to note that long ago before David was born, Father Abraham responded to the Command of God for him to offer his son Isaac as burnt offering upon the mount that God will show him in Moriah.

Abraham called the place, Jehovah Jireh, Genesis 22:14, the place where Obedience attracted Divine provision.

Several years later that sacred place was acquired by Ornan the Jebusite.

It is important to note that the same day Abraham offered his son Isaac on that mount, God had zeroed in that a temple shall be built on that place which was now occupied by Ornan.

The mistake, the disaster, was a Faith Adventure which David began to pursue without knowing what came upon him.

God’s desire was accomplished through the mistake committed by David at the beginning, but turned into a miracle, 1Chronicles 22:1-5.

It is amazing that Father Abraham had pronounced the place as Jehovah Jireh in Genesis 22 because when he was stopped to offer his son as offering, he looked behind to find a ram as a substitute.

God had made provisions before the need arose.

Solomon laid the foundation of the temple in May, the second month of ecclesiastical calendar, 2 Chronicles 3:1-2

The kind of stones Solomon used for the foundation was described in 1 Kings 5:17.

The materials for the foundation must be what can live for long, what can abide and what can endure.

We are the Temple of the Holy Spirit, the Church of the Living God.

We must be mindful of the type of foundation we have.

We have been built upon the foundation of Apostles (the large stones), Prophets (the costly stones) and Jesus Christ Himself (the hewn stones) being the Chief Cornerstone, Ephesians 2: 19-22.

If these three stones and foundation of Grace and Truth are not in a Church, it is a question of time it will implode.

Psalm 11:3 says if the foundation is destroyed what can the Righteous do?

The ignorant will say nothing whereas verse 4 of the same passage of the Bible provides the answer by directing the Righteous to go back to the Temple and relay the foundation.

Isaiah 58:13 is apt on this.

In the year of Ezra, when the Temple of Solomon had been destroyed, Ezra along with a team of men in one Spirit came in to relay the foundation, Ezra 3:8 in the second month which is May.

A team of men with one Spirit, Philippians 1:27-28.

When noise is removed, the Presence of the Lord will constantly manifest and His Voice will be loud and clear among us, Isaiah 66:5-6.

The material of the floor is worthy of note, 1 Kings 6:30. Why this is crucial can be found in Malachi 3:1-6.
